Funeral services for a woman who spent her life teaching children and advocating for the poor will be held Saturday.
Services for Clydell Pugh-Jones, will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the St. Timothy Baptist Church, 1710 Canary Street, Monroe, Louisiana. Burial will immediately follow at Richwood Memorial Gardens, 2705 Richwood Road #2, Monroe, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 2 pm to 6 pm in the Chapel of Hester Central State Funeral Home,
Mrs. Jones, 83, died on June 10, 2023.
She was an advocate for the poor, especially those in the Booker T. Community.
