Superintendent applicants meet public, no new ideas

When all three applicants for Superintendent of Monroe City Schools met the public Wednesday night, there were no fireworks, break-out moments, or out-of-the-box ideas, as each applicant laid out a traditional path to leadership based on continuing in the present direction with a few modifications.

Approximately 200 Monroe residents gathered at the Martin Luther King Jr. Junior High School Gymnasium on Wednesday, March 13th for a meet-and-greet event to meet the three applicants, Rev. Sam Moore, III, Clyde Washington, and Serena White. They engaged with the community, fielding pre-screened questions primarily focusing on teacher training, recruitment, classroom management, and fostering teamwork among educators.
