A Monroe man has been arrested and jailed for raping his wife.
Ouachita Parish Sheriff deputies arrested Norman Woods, Jr, 34, of 3375 Highway 594 in Swartz, on case of 1st degree domestic abuse after his wife told deputies that he raped her.
According to the arrest affidavit, Woods’ wife of five years told deputies that Woods attempted to have sexual intercourse with her but she refused. The victim said Wood grabbed her arms and threw her onto the washing machine and proceeded to take her pants off.
The affidavit said Wood “began performing oral sex on her after she verbally refused and attempted to push him off of her.” The victim said she gave Woods several more verbal commands to stop and he got up and proceeded to walk away.
When interviewed by deputies, Woods confirmed his wife’s version of the events. There were no bruises or marks observed by the deputies.
