Twenty-Eight Future history makers to be saluted at Civic Center “Better Love” event

Twenty-Eight aspiring young ladies will be the focus of attention on February 24th as the community and friends show them love and support as they strive to become history makers in their generation.

The young ladies will be saluted in a program called “Better Love Yourself: A celebration of Black Girls” on Thursday, February 24th at the Monroe Civic Center.

The girls are models in the local youth group Model 10/18 which has been in operation since 2020.  The Model 10/18 program promotes self-esteem and finer womanhood to girls ages ten to eighteen years of age through academic activities, esteem-building activities, and travel.
