Vidrine arrested on felony charges, where’s the mugshot?

The recent arrest of former Monroe City Superintendent Brent Vidrine has sparked controversy and raised questions about equal treatment under the law, or least public exposure when accused of breaking the law.

Vidrine was booked on one count of felony theft, one count of malfeasance in office, and two counts of filing or maintaining false public records, totaling four felony charges based on a warrant signed by Fourth District Judge Alvin Sharp on July 1, 2024.

The case stems from an investigation into controversial payments and the alleged fabrication of documents during Vidrine’s tenure as superintendent.
