The City of Monroe has been tight-lipped about the alleged coverup of the beating of a Monroe homeless man by Monroe Police Officers, but it may soon have to say something… in federal court.
Timothy Wayne Williams has sued the City of Monroe and several others in Federal court for allegedly attempting to cover up an instance of police brutality against him last year.
Last year, Williams complained to city police that he was the victim of an abuse of force action involving several Monroe Police officers, one of whom kicked him in the head while handcuffed.
Williams contends that it would have been poorly reflected on the Mayo Administration, which was in the final weeks of a re-election campaign.
