A 37-year-old woman was arrested early Friday morning in Ouachita Parish after allegedly forcing her way into her ex-boyfriend’s home wearing black lingerie and a trench coat.
Taeshiana L. Cook, 37, was taken into custody on October 23, 2026, around 4:05 a.m. by deputies from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office following a response to an active disturbance.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Deputy Logan Fletcher, authorities arrived at the residence to find Cook outside dressed in black lingerie beneath a trench coat.
Cook initially told responding officers that she had been dragged out of the residence and battered by her ex-boyfriend and his current girlfriend.
However, deputies reported seeing no injuries on Cook consistent with her claims.
When speaking with the victim—Cook’s ex-boyfriend—he told investigators that Cook had shown up at his home uninvited, intending to “engage in intimate affairs”.
The victim stated he repeatedly told her to leave and tried to close the door, but Cook stuck her foot in the doorway to prevent him from securing the entrance.
According to the arrest report, Cook then forced her way inside and approached the victim’s bedroom. As the victim attempted to gently push her back toward the entrance while continuing to demand she leave, an antique lantern valued at $200 was damaged during the struggle. The victim’s current girlfriend was inside the home and corroborated the victim’s account to deputies.
In a post-Miranda interview with law enforcement, Cook admitted to arriving at the residence uninvited, telling officers, “I’m never invited”.
Cook was transported to the Ouachita Correctional Center (OCC) and booked on the following charges:
Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling (1 count; La. R.S. 14:62.3)
Simple Criminal Damage to Property (1 count; La. R.S. 14:56) with bond listed at $1,500
