On January 29, 2019 an officer was dispatched in reference to a bank fraud complaint at Guaranty Bank with an estimated amount of $18,925.00. Angel Johnson was the suspect in the investigation.
On January 30, 2019 the assistant chief contacted Johnson for an interview to take place at the Sterlington Police Dept. Upon arrival, the assistant chief advised Johnson of her rights per Miranda and Johnson admitted to taking around $14,000.00 over the past year. Johnson was placed in handcuffs and transported to OCC for booking on bank fraud charges.
