Be ready or be left behind

By Rusty Potter

My dad ( Earnest Potter) was a school bus driver. I was one of the students on his bus. We had to be ready and prepared when the bus arrived. In the early morning hours, the expectation was clear – be ready or be left behind. If I was not ready when he arrived, I knew I would have to take the long morning walk to school. This wasn’t just a daily routine; it was a profound life lesson in preparedness.

Life, much like a bus schedule, waits for no one. To reach our destination, we must be proactive, and ready to catch opportunities as they arrive. As we navigate the journey of 2024, let’s draw inspiration from getting up early in the morning. Embrace the commitment of arriving early and staying late, knowing that success often rewards those who are willing to put in the extra effort. Our goals are buses of opportunity, and being prepared ensures we never miss our ride.
