Greetings, Dear Hearts!
I am reminded of what one of my ninety-year-old friends shared in a testimony some years ago that has remained in my heart ever since. She explained that when she was only sixteen (16) years old, she suffered from a serious heart condition and was near death. During that difficult season, she prayed and trusted God for healing. She testified that the Lord healed her and assured her that she would not die from heart failure or continue to suffer with heart problems throughout her life. Today, she resides in a nursing facility, and although she has faced other challenges over the years, she has never again suffered from heart trouble. Truly, her testimony reminds us that when God does something, He does it well.
The scripture declares in Gospel of Mark 7:37, “Everything he does is wonderful. He even makes the deaf to hear and gives speech to those who cannot speak” (NLT). Indeed, Jesus continues to show His power and compassion in every situation. What He heals, He heals completely. What He restores, He restores fully. What He saves, remains saved through His power and grace.
Furthermore, this truth is clearly seen in 2 Kings 2:19-22. After Elijah was taken away, Elisha stepped into the ministry and performed his first miracle. The leaders of Jericho came to him with a genuine problem. They explained that the city was beautiful, but the water was bad and the land was unproductive. Elisha asked for a new bowl filled with salt. Then, he went to the spring and threw the salt into the water and declared, “This is what the Lord says, I have made this water wholesome. It will no longer cause death or infertility.” The scripture says that the water has remained pure ever since, just as Elisha said. Clearly, God permanently changed what man could not fix. When God heals, restores, and delivers, He does it completely.
Are you experiencing situations where you do not know what to do? When prayer is offered to God, your miracle can take place according to His will. Even now, God is still able to change situations that seem impossible. He is still able to heal broken hearts, restore families, provide peace, and bring hope to those who feel defeated.
Most importantly, the greatest miracle God ever performed was through Jesus Christ. We were headed toward eternal destruction because of sin, but God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son to save us. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day with all power in His hands. Because of His sacrifice, we do not have to live in bondage to sin or fear eternal separation from God. Instead, we can walk in freedom, peace, and everlasting hope. Salvation is complete and perfect because when God does something, He does it well.
