There are times in life when we may feel tired or frustrated. We have been working, sacrificing, and pushing forward, but the results you hope for may not have arrived yet.
That is when you have to remind yourself: Don’t lose focus. You’re almost there.
The Bible says in Galatians 6:9 (KJV), “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
This is a reminder that just because you have not seen the harvest doesn’t mean the seed you planted was wasted.
Sometimes we quit because we cannot see how close we are to the breakthrough. We become discouraged because the journey is taking longer than we expected. We look at ohter people and wonder why their journey seems easier. But your journey was never supposed to look like someone else’s.
I remember running in the New Orleans Marathon, as I approached the finish line, by body was tired. My legs were heavy. But something happens when you realize the finish line is within reach. You dig deeper. You find strength you didn’t know you had.
Life can be the same way.
You may be closer than you think.
That business you’ve been working on may be closer to becoming successful. That degree you’ve been pursuing may be closer to completion. That dream you’ve been carrying for years may be closer to becoming reality. The person you are working to become may be closer than you realize.
Don’t allow temporary frustration to make you abandon a permanent dream.
Sometimes the greatest temptation to quit comes when you are tired of waiting. But this is when you must remember why you started.
Stay focused.
You don’t have to have everything figured out today. You just have to keep taking the next step. Keep learning. Keep working. Keep praying. Keep believing.
And when you feel like stopping, know how far you have already come.
You survived days you though would break you. You overcame obstacles you once though were impossible. You are still standing. You are still moving. You are still becoming.
Whatever you do, don’t lose focus.
You may be tired, but you’re not finished.
You may be delayed, but you’re not denied.
You may not see the finish line clearly yet, but keep moving forward.
Sometimes the longest night comes just before the dawn. And sometimes, when you think you are at the end of your strength, you are standing at the beginning of your breakthrough.
Wipe the tears. Lift your head. Take one more step.
Don’t quit now. Don’t turn around. Don’t lose focus.
You have come too far to stop – and you may be closer than you think.
Keep going. Keep believing. Keep pressing forward.
Your story is not over. You’re almost there.
