Wright to obtain Master’s Degree in History Saturday

Saturday, Robert Kenneth Wright, will be among the graduates recognized in the digital graduation of the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Wright will receive his Master’s Degree in History and has already enrolled in the doctoral program of Xavier University in New Orleans.

Wright tells about his unbelievable struggle to obtain his Master’s Degree in this week’s editorial. It’s an inspiring story of sleeping on cots, riding bicycles, and scrapping for pennies to meet a personal goal that he set for himself when he graduated from Carroll High School in 1996; to earn a PhD.

Wright is the son of Roosevelt & Joslyn Adams Wright in Monroe and the grandson of the late Robert and Alice DeGraffenreid-Adams and the late Roosevelt Wright, Sr. and Louise Davis-Smith.
