NOTICE OF BIDS

Sealed, written formal bid proposals will be received by MONROE CITY SCHOOLS, at 2006 Tower Drive, Monroe, LA 71201, or electronically by online submission at www.bidexpress.com at 2:00 PM. (Local Prevailing Time) on October 6, 2026, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud for A NEW TICKET BOOTH FOR: CARROLL HIGH SCHOOL.
Bid documents are being made available via electronic copy. Official Bid Documents can be downloaded after registering for an account at www.mc3lroyarchplans.com to view bid documents. All Contractors who intend to submit “BIDS” are REQUIRED to attend the MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE, which will be held on September 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Carroll High School at 2939 Renwick Street, Monroe, Louisiana 71201. Bids shall be accepted only from Prime Bidders who attend the Mandatory Pre-bid Conference. Subcontractors are welcome to attend.
This project is classified as Building Construction. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or a Bid Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana.
The successful bidder will be allowed 180 calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed to complete the project. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $500.00 per day for each calendar day the work is not substantially complete.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and a Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount.
The Owner, Monroe City Schools, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, also to withhold the acceptance of any bid if approved. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids except under the provisions of Act 111 of 1983.
