Scripture: Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels, and have not charity (love), I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal…and though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor…and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunted not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things…Charity never faileth…and now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three…but the greatest of these is charity (love)… (selected passages from I Corinthians 13).
Dear our beloved Jesus Christ,
Thank You for patiently listening and considering to present our revelations being leveled against some of the caregivers assigned to our Father, God’s helpless people. Sometimes the revelations are soooo heart rending and resulting in my repeatedly taking breaks in order to wipe tears flowing from my eyes. As recorded in John 11:17-44, You wept at the tomb of Your dear friend, Lazarus. You have not only shed tears with me, due to Your witnessing all the same atrocities I witnessed, but also the numerous others unknown to me.
Eventually, the Father called our cousin home. Many of Your true servants would think that after her demise, members of our family, although grief-stricken would be relieved, but no! There is more to be added to this morbid account.
As family remembers concerned about her fully completing her “stint” in the US Army (WAC) and as a teacher, we could not get any cooperation from anyone for her to be recognized as a former service person. We traveled, called, entreated and sought assistance and direction for her to become recognized as a deceased veteran, but to no avail. We also received no information on that problem from the funeral home located in another city. All of our inquiries were treated with complete disinterest. We were finally informed by someone making small conversation after her funeral and burial, “Oh, you could have picked up a US Flag at the US Post Office.” We picked it up, and it is still in our possession and she has been deceased for about 20 years.
Oh, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, this writer after much prayer and meditation has finally reached the conclusion to divulge this information with hopes it may help other parents to become aware of certain possibilities in their children’s lives.
Due to her parents moving from Monroe to a distant city, and wanting, as most parents do, to assure her with what was considered a “top-of –the-line education”. They enrolled her in school in a different denomination than our family’s. She faithfully adhered to the principles of that denomination until her demise.
Even though her illnesses and death were not acknowledged by her chosen church authority figures and they were made aware of it in writing as well as by telephone, no response in any form came from them.
As a child, she was an active participant in the basketball program at the school but some female members of the staff to our utter dismay “turned her out”, a practice which followed her until her demise. We learned of the root cause of her plight many years after she became an adult. Parents, beware!!!
