The Monroe-Grambling Chapter of The Links, Incorporated celebrated 50 years of Friendship and Service with a “Stellar Display of Prominence, Eminence and Erudition” as they presented seven young men to society during its 2023 Beautillion. This event was held on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Mount Zion Event Center in Monroe LA.
The Links, Incorporated is an international organization of professional women dedicated to community service, thereby enhancing the quality of life of deserving youth. This year’s Beautillion is the culminating activity resulting from months of educational, cultural, social and fundraising events wherein seven young men of eleventh and twelfth grade status were formally presented to the public.
Those presented were Beau George Todd Eccles II, a junior at Lincoln Preparatory High School, escorted by Belle De’Ajaney j. Hill; Beau Geordian Westbrooks Guidry, a junior at Ruston High School, escorted by Belle Aakeyliah O. Jones; Beau Jackson Belvard King, a junior at Sterlington High School, escorted by Belle MaKenzie Zy’Keya Burch; Beau Kyran Demmar McConnell, a graduating senior at Ruston High School, escorted by Belle Katelyn Anmarie Edwards; Beau Jaden Chance Osborne, a graduating senior at Ruston High School, Belle Lauryn Elise Garrison; Beau Nickolus Robinson, Jr, a graduating senior at Ruston High School, escorted by Belle Zykera Racquel Sutton; and Beau Nathan Esonyo Roebuck, a graduating senior at Arcadia High School, escorted by Belle Erin Nick’cole Jenkins.
Beau Nathan Esonyo Roebuck, the son of Mr. Esonyo Roebuck and Dr. Nikole M. Roebuck, was crowned 2023 Mr. Beau and will receive a $1500 scholarship from The Links, Incorporated. Beau Jackson Belvard King was 1st Runner-up and will receive a $1000 scholarship. Beau Jaden Chane Osborne was 2nd Runner-up and will receive a $750 scholarship. All other beaux will receive a $500 scholarship upon entering a university or college.
Ms. LaQuetta Anderson is president of the Monroe-Grambling Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. The Beautillion Committee was chaired by Mrs. LaVerne Conley and Co-Chaired by Dr. Rhonda Pruitt. The committee members were Dr. Janice Winder, Mrs. Richardra Winder Robinson, Mrs. Beverly Hill Hercules, Ms. Raven Owens and Mrs. Eugenia White.
