Monroe, LA hosts the 144th Annual Session of the Louisiana Missionary Baptist State Convention

Monroe, LA, July 12, 2017: Pastor Ike Byrd, President of the 10th District Missionary Baptist Association and Chairman of the host committee announces the 144th Annual Session of The Louisiana Missionary Baptist State Convention will be held in Monroe, LA this year, from July 16th-July 21st. Conventioneers from throughout the entire State of Louisiana will be in Twin Cities for our Annual Conference and Worship Sessions. We anticipate over 3,500 conventioneers to visit the Twin Cities during this week.

It is my earnest and sincere honor to welcome you to Northeast Louisiana, as we convene for the 144th Annual Session of the Louisiana Missionary Baptist State Convention. On behalf of myself and the 2017 NELA host committee, our associations, and churches, we welcome you to the city of Monroe, Louisiana. Thank you to our Mayor, Jamie Mayo , The Monroe City Council , and Monroe Police Department and other local law enforcement, for your support and sponsorship. Thanks to Superintendent Brent Vidrine and the Monroe City Schools for your support and cooperation. Thanks to the Convention and Visitors Bureau, the restaurants, hotels, shopping centers and other businesses for making the necessary staffing and inventory provisions to accommodate over 3,500 conventioneers next week.

As we gather for the 144th Annual session , we pray that you enjoy all that the conference offers including the amenities of the city. The city has a rich cultural history and we hope that you are able to visit our museums, parks, shopping areas, restaurants, and other municipal attractions during your downtime. But most importantly, we pray that the preparations made for the Conference and the prepared worship sessions, are enjoyable and beneficial to you and your spiritual needs. Preparations have been made for a successful session and we pray this will be a week of prayer, praise, worship, fellowship and learning for each of you.
