A rocket uses a great deal of energy to get off the ground. The launch pad shakes. Fire erupts. Smoke fills the air. It takes power, force, and determination to rise above gravity. But once the rocket leaves the ground, it never looks back. It keeps moving forward.
Life works the same way.
Many people want success, but they underestimate the energy required to take off. It takes effort to leave negativity behind. It takes discipline to rise above excuses, fear, and doubt. The beginning is often the hardest part.
That is why you need a rocket booster; friends are people who push you higher instead of pulling you lower. They encourage your dreams instead of laughing at them. They challenge you to grow rather than keep you comfortable. They remind you of your purpose when you feel tired and discouraged.
Not everybody in your circle is assigned to help you fly.
Some people drain your energy. Some people only talk about problems. Some people become comfortable living beneath their potential and will try to convince you to do the same. Be careful who you allow near your vision.
A rocket cannot carry unnecessary weight and still reach its destination.
Find people who inspire excellence in you. Find people who speak life into your future. Find people who motivate you to pray harder, think bigger, and work smarter. Your environment matters. Conversations matter. Associations matter.
The right friends can become fuel for your future.
When you surround yourself with driven people, their passion ignites your passion, their discipline sharpens your discipline. Their faith strengthens your faith. Suddenly, you begin to believe that greater things are possible for your life.
Do not apologize for wanting to grow.
Rockets were created to rise.
You were not created to stay stuck on the launch of fear, mediocrity, or doubt. God placed greatness inside of you. Your dreams are waiting to be fulfilled, your goals waiting to be accomplished, and your life waiting to be impacted by your journey.
Yes, it takes more energy to get off the ground. But once you rise, keep moving forward.
Rockets never go backward.
Neither should you.
