Some actions adored by many are abominable to God!

Scripture: …And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart; and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down and when thou risest up (Deuteronomy 6:6-7a).
My Friends,
Now that Halloween, much adored by many, but abominable to God, has passed and “turkey day”, once referred to as Thanksgiving Day and sandwiched between Halloween and Christmas has passed also, where do we go from here? Several churches, chose to direct God’s children to celebrate what is called “trunk or treat” under the pretense of executing safety measures, had to find somewhere to “dump” their remaining Halloween “junk” by distributing it during church services the following Sunday. Wow!!! My friends, beware!!!
The “turkey day” specialties were overcome by prospective so-called Santa Claus. Lots of uneaten, unsold pumpkin pies, turkeys and trimmings will find their way to Christmas dinner tables.
By the way, since nativity scenes have officially become unlawful, it gives rise to a “bonanza” for merchants in sales of gifts to be delivered to all homes by a fat man dressed in a red and white suit. He has been deemed as the delivery person of whatever children desire for Christmas. This imaginary creature supposedly drives a team of reindeer led by one with a red nose and pulls a sleigh to all homes desirous of his gifts. Even though he is flabby in size, he can squeeze down any chimney in order to bring desired, ordered gifts from his supposed abode, the North Pole. How imaginative can one get? How do the children who do not have chimneys receive their gifts? Some children are bribed to excel for a few days in perfect behavior in order to be visited by him.
My bubble was burst when my mom told me that the Santa Claus character did not exist. In fact, I cried. But, thank God, she held her position as all of the rest of our parents should do. Some of us abhor lying children, and yet some of us lie to them also. But, many of them do not have the authority to call us liars. However in some homes it is thought to be “cute” when children call adults liars, even when it’s true.
If the wise men came to your homes looking for the Christ child will they have to continue their search elsewhere, or find many evidences of his awesome presence? Would you direct them to your church which has a well-lighted, trimmed Christmas tree which greets all passersby and members as they enter for service? Even though all schools are banned from holding once traditional Christmas plays, complete with manger scenes, wise-men, baby Jesus with Mary, Joseph, angels, shepherds, animals, etc. It has become glorious and lawful to teach our children Christmas foolishness and wonder why children are soooo hard to teach at school, home and church. Now-a-days it’s become unlawful to chastise children and teach them the difference between right and wrong.
If we think governmental figures behave strangely from what we were taught as youth, how do you think the world will be when it’s untrained posterity become leaders in every aspect of your lives? Whoa!!!
Since I’m from the old school, have a blessed Christmas.
Love You!!!
