God’s awesomeness cannot go unnoticed

Scripture: In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, let there be light; and there was light. And God said, let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven….And God saw everything that he made, and, behold, it was very good (Genesis 1:1,3, 20,31).

My dear friends, as we journey throughout life, God’s awesomeness cannot go unnoticed. He allows us to experience his awesomeness in many ways. Yet there are times we neglect to give him honor and praise for all of the miracles we witness day by day. Do you hear the birds chirping in the morning? Do you see the beautiful flowers that have budded and the trees as green as the color green? Do you witness the early sunrise and the evening sunset? God is awesome! Some may have experienced aches and pains or ailments in the body, but you are still alive. God is awesome! God has breathed his own breath of life in us. Not only that, he touched us with his finger of love and awakened us this morning. God is awesome!

The above noted scriptures highlighted God’s awesomeness through the creation of the universe. He strategically designed the universe for you and me. He put the stars in the sky; and it has been said, “the number of stars in the creation is equal to all the grains of all the sand on all the beaches of the world”. Wow! That’s awesome. The essence of God’s awesomeness extends beyond what you and I can ever imagine. He is an infinite being who has always been and will always be. So, when we try to reason with God’s infinites, we will always fall short because we must not limit the infinite God by our finite understanding.

My friends, let us celebrate and thank God for his awesomeness. Not only for the creation of the earth, but also for the many things he has done for us. Mainly, what he has done for us through his son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. We must honor him and give him the highest praise for his awesomeness. So the next time you wake up and the sun is peeping through the window; you see a bird in the sky or any other creature in the earth, think of God’s awesomeness.
