Traveling is important

Most Black kids don’t travel. Some of the kids parent can’t even afford travel expense. Some kids just stay in the house playing games on their phones. Some of them don’t want to go on trips.

They don’t know traveling is important, educational and fun.

Traveling introduces people to new things. Some new things can be food. I remember the first time I ate pickled okra. I thought it was good and I got some more of it. Another thing was salad.

That was good too. But now I like both of them.

You don’t have to be in a classroom to learn about traveling. You can learn how to put up a tent and camp outdoors. It’s fun roasting marshmallows over campfires and making S’mores. I’ve learned to be patient when traveling, especially when checking in a hotel because the room aren’t always ready.

Every summer I go on a summer trip. Last year I went to Hawaii. I saw the many tribes and the different cultures. My first trip I went on was the underground railroad. I had a lot of fun.

On the summer trip this year we are going to Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas. We are going to be camping out on this trip. This is my first time going to Oklahoma. I’m going to have a lot of fun.
